How to update the site
How to update the site
- Post today's trail status
Alder Bend → Trail status → the preserve → Open, Muddy or Closed, and the reason when it is not plainly open → Update. The header line on every page, the Home board and the Trails page change at once, with the time you pressed Update. - Change the words on a page
To change the words on a page, open Page text, pick the page, edit, press Update — the site changes at once. An empty field shows the launch wording. - Add a work day
Alder Bend → Work days → Add New: date, preserve, task, time, places. Update "Places filled" as people sign up; a full day stays listed as full, and past days drop off by themselves. - Record a monitoring visit
Alder Bend → Easement monitoring → the easement → move "Last monitoring visit" to "The visit before", set the new date → Update. Only the count reaches the website. - Update the land totals
Alder Bend → Land totals → acres, easements, miles, the fund → Update. Home, About and Financials read them. - Publish a new Form 990
Media → Add New and upload the PDF. Then Alder Bend → Financial documents → Add New, choose the file, the fiscal year and the kind, and Publish. The three newest 990s are listed by themselves. - Send year-end giving statements
Alder Bend → Year-end statements → look at donors marked Fix or Check, add checks and stock under "Gifts entered by hand", preview a statement, then Send. In this demonstration nothing is sent.
